I was going to do half squares, but when I made the stars I liked them so much I thought they would be better in the border. It is 20/20.
I went to my daughter's class and each of the students designed a square. I took the squares home and sewed them together. This time I wanted to sew them on point to make it a bit different. She liked orange/turquoise so I had the orange around the border to keep the turquoise in the middle.
This is the back of the quilt. I tied in the orange/turquoise here. These will be end of the year gifts for the teachers, from the students.
